Feeling distracted, disconnected, overwhelmed and unable to focus on daily life - feeling continually down is not necessary. A skilled clinician can help you navigate through difficult periods and leave with you with insight to continue to apply in your life. Acknowledgement of an issue is the first step in seeking help. Benefits of starting therapy include increasing self-awareness and more rewarding relationships. Learning to keep our emotions in check and communication are key to success. It is important to step out of oneself to gain perspective, specifically, by looking at thoughts and positive behavior choices in that process. I have more than 10 years experience in counseling, the last few years conducting research on scientific knowledge of our mind body connection. I enjoy putting knowledge into practice and helping apply it to everyday behavioral changes. Early experiences too often affect choices and struggles in our lives. I spend a lot of time researching, previously in a doctoral program and now I am excited to apply those abilities to the interests of my clients. I will facilitate healing by incorporating and strengthening support systems and relationships as well as increase understanding of how our brain/body works
